What I gather from all of this is that people learn in different ways and one persons view on knowledge and education will differ from another. What one person might value as some of their most important knowledge, someone else might view as even slightly important. Also they talk about what defines intelligence to different people and what makes a school good. Essentially what it comes down to is that each person values what they are good at or have a talent at and that everyone has their own particular thing that they view as what is needed.
